The Associated Press has named its Pennsylvania girls all-state high school basketball teams for the 2008-09 season, with one City League and four WPIAL stars earning first team honors.

The Associated Press has named its Pennsylvania girls all-state high school basketball teams for the 2008-09 season, with one City League and four WPIAL stars earning first team honors.

 

In AAAA, Olivia Bresnahan (Butler), Emily Correal (Peters Township) and Markel Walker (Schenley) were named to the first team.

 

Mt. Lebanon’s Dori Oldaker was awarded AAAA Coach of the Year after leading the Blue Devils to an undefeated record en route to a WPIAL and PIAA championship.

 

MarsLily Grenci was the only WPIAL player to garner first team honors in AAA.

 

Lauren Savulchack (North Catholic) was the lone WPIAL player to make the A team.
